Hi, I’m an orb weaver spider, and I spin webs that are works of art!
I know spiders can seem a little spooky, but I’m actually pretty shy and only want to help keep your garden in balance. My beautiful round webs, which I weave with precision, catch all kinds of insects like flies, mosquitoes, and beetles, so you don’t have to worry about those pesky bugs. My web might look delicate, but it’s strong and built to last—until I eat it and rebuild it the next day!
I don’t bite unless you really get up close and personal (which I’d rather avoid). My main job is being a silent guardian of the garden, keeping the insect population in check. I’m happiest when I can build my web in a peaceful corner, catching pests while staying out of the way.
The best thing you can do for me? Let me hang out in your garden, doing what I do best—keeping the bugs in check. The worst? Spraying pesticides that harm not just me but all the other helpful creatures in your garden.
I promise I’m a web-slinging friend you can count on, so let me spin in peace, and I’ll help keep your garden bug-free!
