I love hanging out in tropical and subtropical regions like Florida, Central America, and the Caribbean, where I can find plenty of flowers to feed on. My favorites are passionflowers—they’re like a *butterfly buffet* for me!

Not only am I a beautiful sight, but I’m also an important pollinator, helping plants thrive as I move from flower to flower. My caterpillars munch on passionflower leaves, which helps keep those plants in check, too.

The best thing you can do for me? Plant more nectar-rich flowers and avoid using pesticides that could harm me. The worst? Destroying my food sources or using chemicals that hurt my delicate wings.
